OVERVIEW
Across children’s publishing, memoir, technical nonfiction, and culinary publishing, I’ve partnered with authors and independent publishers to translate stories, expertise, and ideas into cohesive, market-ready book experiences.
My work spans cover design, interior layouts, typography, editorial pacing, brand identity, and print-ready production — balancing storytelling, readability, genre expectations, and visual consistency from concept through final delivery.
Whether designing for young readers, technical audiences, or lifestyle-focused consumers, my approach centers on creating books that feel intentional, engaging, and professionally crafted.
MY ROLE
Depending on project scope, my role has included:
Cover design and visual positioning
Interior book layout and typography
Editorial pacing and reader experience design
Logo and publishing identity development
Print-ready production and file preparation
Genre-based visual direction and market alignment
Image refinement, retouching, and composition
Author collaboration and creative consultation
Projects have ranged from one-off cover commissions to full book development and long-term creative partnerships spanning multiple books, brand identities, and promotional collateral.
CREATIVE APPROACH
Each project requires balancing:
Genre expectations and audience needs
Typography and long-form readability
Visual hierarchy and information clarity
Emotional tone and storytelling alignment
Print production requirements and consistency
I work closely with authors to understand both the purpose of the book and the audience it serves, translating content into polished publishing experiences designed to support engagement, credibility, and discoverability.
